dietcomefit (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) helps you log meals and track calories and nutrition. This policy explains what information the App collects — including when you record voice, take or choose photos, or upload images for AI food recognition — how we use it, and your choices.
Quick summary
- Your daily food log stays on your device.
- Voice: the microphone is used only when you tap the mic. Apple converts speech to text; we receive the text transcript, not a stored audio file, when you log by voice.
- Photos: camera and photo library are used only when you choose Scan or Photo. Images are uploaded to our servers only when you tap to identify a meal — not automatically in the background.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Information you enter or save
- Food and meal entries (names, portions, calories, and nutrition totals)
- Daily calorie and macro goals
- Reminder preferences (on/off and time)
- App language preference
Voice recording & speech recognition
When you use Voice logging, the App requests access to your microphone and speech recognition(Apple’s Speech framework).
- When it happens: only while you are actively recording — after you tap the microphone button and until you tap again to stop.
- On your device: audio is captured temporarily to convert your speech into text. We do not save raw audio recordings in the App or on our servers.
- Apple Speech: transcription may be processed on your iPhone and/or by Apple’s speech services, depending on your device and iOS settings. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Sent to our servers: if you use Premium voice logging, the text transcript (e.g. “two eggs and toast”) and your app language may be sent to our cloud API so we can identify foods and return nutrition matches. We do not upload your raw voice recording.
- What we do not do: we do not continuously listen, record conversations in the background, or use voice data for advertising.
